COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) - The NFL owners have ratified a new
collective bargaining agreement opening the way for the end of the
four-month old lockout. The players will have a conference call
later this evening to vote on the deal.

inning and Anaheim went on to a 1-0 win over Texas. Jered Weaver
won a pitcher's duel with a fellow All-Star C.J. Wilson to improve
to 13-4 and lower his major-league leading ERA to 1.81
MIAMI (AP) - San Diego Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson
avoided serious injury when he collided with a wall after catching
a foul ball. Hudson was taken off the field on a stretcher, but a
team spokesman says he's expected to be fine and rejoin the team in
Philadelphia tomorrow for the start of a series with the Phillies.
DENVER (AP) - Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman each homered and
had two hits to lead Atlanta to a 9-6 win over Colorado. Brooks
Conrad homered and Nate McLouth had two hits for Atlanta, which
earned a split of the four-game series.
