COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Top-ranked Ohio State will be staying
close to home in the NCAA tournament. The 33-2 Buckeyes, who
captured the Big Ten tournament title 71-60 over Penn State, are
the No. 1 seed in the East Region - and No. 1 overall - and will
play the winner of Texas-San Antonio-Alabama State at Cleveland's
Quicken Loans Arena in a second-round game on Friday.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Defending national champion Duke beat
rival North Carolina 75-68 and was rewarded with the No. 1 seed in
the West regional of the NCAA tournament. Duke won't have to leave
the state of North Carolina for the opening weekend, opening NCAA
tournament play against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champ
Hampton in the second round Friday in Charlotte.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Fresh off one of its most impressive
performances of the season, Kansas received the No. 1 seed in the
Southwest Regional of the NCAA tournament, and will play America
East champion Boston University in its opening game. The Jayhawks
are coming off a convincing 83-75 win over Texas in the Big 12
Championship game.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - An early exit from the Big East tournament
didn't prevent Pittsburgh from getting a top seed in the NCAA
tournament. The Panthers are the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Region
and will open Thursday in Washington, D.C., against the winner of
Tuesday's first-round game between North Carolina-Asheville and
Arkansas-Little Rock.

DORAL, Fla. (AP) - Nick Watney is $1.4 million richer today. The
29-year-old American rallied to shoot a final-round 67 and edge
Dustin Johnson by two shots to win the World Golf Championship's
Cadillac Championship at the Blue Monster at Doral.
