Conference to earn automatic bids into the NCAA men's basketball
tournament. They joined Belmont, Indiana State, Morehead State, and
UNC Asheville in the 68-team NCAA field that begins play a week
from tonight.

NFL and its players union. Both sides are racing against a Friday
deadline in order to avoid the NFL's first work stoppage since

Bresnahan their new defensive coordinator just weeks after bringing
him back for a second stint with the organization. Bresnahan
coached the Raiders' defensive backs in 1998-99 before becoming
