MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - NFL players are defending their decision to disband the union, saying employers cannot force workers to form a union. The players are asking a federal judge to halt a lockout imposed by owners through an injunction. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - With the Barry Bonds perjury trial entering its second week, his former mistress has testified that he blamed a 1999 elbow injury on steroid use. Kimberly Bell also told the jury of eight women and four men that the body and behavior of baseball's home run king changed during their nine-year relationship. TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Yankees left-hander Pedro Feliciano expects to miss two weeks because of upper arm-shoulder soreness. Feliciano says he still feels discomfort in his pitching arm, but that it shouldn't take an extended period for the injury to heal. UNDATED (AP) - The annual Associated Press All-America team has been named with BYU's high-scoring Jimmer Fredette (freh-DEHT') leading the way with fellow seniors Nolan Smith of Duke and JuJuan Johnson of Purdue. Connecticut's Kemba Walker and Jared Sullinger of Ohio State round out the first squad. UNDATED (AP) - The women's NCAA basketball tournament resumes tonight with two regional championship games in Dayton and Spokane. In Dayton, Tennessee and Notre Dame are tied at 13 early while later in Spokane, it'll be Stanford and Gonzaga.
