LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles Dodgers skipper Joe Torre sayshe's not ruling anything out, but he doesn't anticipate managinganywhere else, including Chicago. The 70-year-old Torre's name hasemerged as a possible candidate to replace Lou Piniella, who isretiring as Cubs manager at the end of the season.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh's prized rookie Pedro Alvarez hadtwo home runs for the second consecutive game and the PittsburghPirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers 15-3 last night. On Tuesdaynight, Alvarez had a grand slam and a solo homer in the Pirates'11-9 win over Milwaukee.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Washington's Stephen Strasburg (STRAHS'-burg),another top National League rookie, improved his record to 5-and-2by pitching the Nationals past Cincinnati, 8-5. Strasburg allowedthree runs on six hits and struck out seven in his five andtwo-thirds innings.

NEW YORK (AP) - The president of the Heisman Trophy Trust says adecision hasn't been reached on whether to strip former SouthernCalifornia running back Reggie Bush of the award he won in 2005honoring college football's top player. This comes one day afterUSC said it is returning its copy of Bush's trophy as one ofseveral measures it is taking to distance itself from Bush in thewake of severe NCAA sanctions.
