KWBG Sports for May 23rd

MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Heat own a three-games-to-two lead in the NBA's Eastern Conference semifinals after they thoroughly dominated the Indiana Pacers 115-83.  LeBron James had 30 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Heat, which held the Pacers to 34 percent from the field. Dwyane (dwayn) Wade added 28 points and helped Miami shoot a playoff team-record 61 percent.

MIAMI (AP) - The Indiana Pacers finished last night's loss in Miami without starting forwards Danny Granger and David West due to injuries. Granger left the game in the third quarter with a sprained left knee, and the Pacers say West suffered a left knee sprain. The Pacers trailed by 11 at the time of Granger's injury and were outscored by 21 the rest of the way.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Dustin Penner scored at 17:42 of overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 4-3 win over the Phoenix Coyotes, putting L.A. in the Stanley Cup finals for the first time since 1993. Drew Doughty had a goal and an assist for the Kings, who will take on either the New York Rangers or New Jersey Devils in the finals. Los Angeles has won 10 straight road playoff games dating to last season, breaking the NHL mark set by the Islanders in 1982 and '83.

BALTIMORE (AP) - Kevin Youkilis (YOO'-kih-lihs) homered for Boston on Tuesday, hours after coming off the disabled list. Youkilis had been sidelined since April 29 because of a strained lower back. The Bosox also placed outfielder Cody Ross on the 15-day disabled list with a broken left foot, put Ryan Sweeney on the 7-day concussion DL and purchased the contract of outfielder Scott Podsednik from Triple-A Pawtucket.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles County prosecutors have declined to file felony charges against four men arrested for a postgame beating and brawl outside Dodger Stadium over the weekend. Police said the Sunday night fight after a 6-5 Dodger victory over St. Louis was just a minor fender-bender that spiraled out of control.
