SEATTLE (AP) -The Seattle Seahawks kept their postseason hopes
alive by beating St. Louis 30-13 for their fourth win in their last
five games. The Seahawks improved to 6-7 and are hoping to win out
against Chicago, San Francisco and Arizona to earn a playoff berth
for the second straight year.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Wide receiver Greg Jennings will be on
the sideline as the Green Bay Packers make their push for a perfect
regular season, but the undefeated Packers expect to have him back
for the playoffs. Coach Mike McCarthy says Jennings will miss two
to three weeks with a knee sprain, but is likely to return for the
postseason.
MIAMI (AP) - Assistant head coach Todd Bowles is the interim
Miami Dolphins head coach in the wake of the firing of Tony Sparano
(spah-RAH'-noh) yesterday after a 4-9 start. Bowles is getting the
underachieving Dolphins ready to travel toi Buffalo to take on the
fading 5-8 Bills. On Sunday.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel
(kreh-NEL') is the interim coach of the Kansas City Chiefs after
coach Todd Haley was sacked less than a year after he led the team
to the AFC West division title. Crennel's first game as Chiefs
interim head coach is a doozie--the Chiefs are home against
undefeated Green Bay on Sunday.
BOSTON (AP) - The L.A. Kings have an interim head coach as they
start a four-game road trip tonight in Boston. He's John Stevens,
who takes over for Terry Murray, who was fired after a 13-12-4
start that includes the Kings' current four-game losing streak.
