WASHINGTON (AP) - Roger Clemens is vowing to fight federal
charges that he lied to Congress about his alleged use of
performance-enhancing drugs when he testified before a House
committee in 2008. A six-count indictment alleges that one of the
most dominant pitchers of his era obstructed a congressional
inquiry with 15 different statements made under oath, including
denials that he had ever used steroids or human growth hormone.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Chicago clawed its way back into the AL
Central race, pounding out 21 hits in an 11-0 beat down of division
leader Minnesota. The White Sox begin tonight's opener of a weekend
series in Kansas City, four games back of the Twins, who are

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Percy Harvin experienced the scariest
episode yet in a career plagued by migraine headaches when he
collapsed at Minnesota Vikings' practice yesterday and was taken to
a hospital by ambulance. The NFL's 2009 Offensive Rookie of the
Year has dealt with migraines most of his life. Harvin returned to
the field Monday after missing more than two weeks.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Fist-round leader Arjun Atwal is back on
the course for round two of the Wyndham Championship. Atwal began
the day with a two-stroke advantage over Brandt Snedeker after
opening with a 9-under-par 61.
