WASHINGTON (AP) - Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg
(STRAHS'-burg) is headed back to the disabled list and will undergo
another exam that will largely determine whether he pitches again
this season. Strasburg underwent an MRI on Sunday, less than 24
hours after he was removed from a start in the fifth inning at
Philadelphia. The Nationals are still calling Strasburg's injury a
flexor strain in his throwing arm.
DETROIT (AP) - The Boston Red Sox have claimed 36-year-old
outfielder Johnny Damon on waivers from Detroit. Damon must now
decide whether he will waive his no-trade clause to the Red Sox and
join the team he helped win the 2004 World Series. He's hitting
.272 with seven homers and 41 RBIs for the Tigers this season.

"irretrievably broken" with no point trying to reconcile
following revelations that Woods had been cheating on her with
numerous affairs.
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan says

St. Louis center Jason Brown, whose deal includes $20 million
guaranteed. Meanwhile, Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis
(dah-REHL' REE'-vihs) remains a holdout, locked in a contract
dispute with the team.
