43 points and 10 rebounds and led a key fourth-quarter run and the
Oklahoma City Thunder beat the New Orleans Hornets 104-93. Durant
surpassed 40 points for the third time in four games, and leads the
NBA with five 40-point games this season.
CELVELAND (AP) - The Cleveland Cavaliers' long losing streak is
almost history. Cleveland's slide reached 22 games - one shy of the
NBA's single-season record - as Danny Granger scored 23 in
Indiana's 117-112 win over the Cavaliers, who can tie the mark with
a loss in Memphis on Friday night.
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Rick Jackson had 13 points and 13
rebounds in 17th-ranked Syracuse's 66-58 victory over sixth-ranked
Connecticut last night as the Orange avoided the first five-game
losing streak in coach Jim Boeheim's (BAY'-hymz) 35 seasons.
Brandon Triche had 16 points for the Orange.
DALLAS (AP) - New England coach Bill Belichick easily beat out
Tampa Bay's Raheem Morris to win his third Associated Press NFL
Coach of the Year award. Belichick, who won in 2003 and 2007, now
trails only Don Shula, a four-time winner of the award.
