NEW YORK (AP) - B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford drove in two runs
each in a seven-run sixth inning mostly off of CC Sabathia
(suh-BA'-three-uh) as Tampa Bay topped the Yankees 10-3 win over
the Yankees. The victory earns the Rays a split of the four-game
series and leaves them just a half-game back of New York for first
in the American League East.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Dallas Braden stopped Texas on one hit
over eight innings as Oakland topped the Rangers 5-0. The loss kept
the Rangers' magic number for clinching the AL West title at four.

yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 19 Miami to a 31-3 win over
Pittsburgh in college football. The Hurricanes' defense held Dion
Lewis to 41 yards on 12 carries.

ATLANTA (AP) - Paul Casey, Luke Donald and Geoff Ogilvy shot
6-under 64's to share the lead after the first round of the
season-ending Tour Championship. Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) is just a
shot off the pace, while Phil Mickelson is in a group at 1-under.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - The NCAA has placed Chattanooga on
probation for two years for major violations in its athletics
program. Among the infractions were failing to monitor phone calls
