KWBG Sports for November 15th

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward sustained a
concussion attempting to make a catch in the first quarter of last
night's 39-26 loss to visiting New England and was forced to leave
the game. The early exit brought an end to his streak of 186
consecutive games with at least one reception. It's the
third-longest streak in NFL history.

UNDATED (AP) - For the first time since Nov. 2007, there's no
change in the top 10 of the BCS standings. That means No. 1 Oregon
and No. 2 Auburn remain on track to meet in the BCS championship
game. TCU, Boise State and LSU round out the top five.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Jason Richardson scored 34 points and the
Phoenix Suns hit 22 3-pointers in a 121-116 victory over the L.A.
Lakers. It's the defending champions' second straight loss after
opening the season with eight consecutive victories.

AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Carl Edwards ended a 70-race winless
streak by taking the checkered flag at Phoenix International
Raceway. Four-time defending Sprint Cup champ Jimmie Johnson
finished fifth to pull within 15 points of Chase for the Sprint Cup
championship leader Denny Hamlin, who had to settle for 12th after
leading a race-high 190 laps.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) - Haile Gebrselassie's (HY'-lee
geh-bur-seh-LAH'-seez) retirement was short-lived. The Ethiopian
long-distance great, who suddenly announced he was done with
running after pulling out of the New York Marathon on Nov. 7
because of a knee injury, tweets that he has changed his mind about
retiring and will compete again.
