KWBG Sports for November 18th

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Hours after his Hollywood actress wife Eva
Longoria filed for divorce, Tony Parker scored 21 points to lead
the San Antonio Spurs to their eighth straight victory, 103-94 over
the Chicago Bulls. The Spurs are tied with the New Orleans Hornets
for best record in the NBA at 9-1.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden
will have microfracture surgery on his left knee Friday and will
not play this season. The 7-footer, who was the overall No. 1 pick
in the 2007 draft, has played just 82 games over parts of two
seasons, averaging 9.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.

NEW YORK (AP) - San Diego's Bud Black and Minnesota's Ron
Gardenhire are the NL and AL managers of the year, respectively.
Black edged out Cincinnati's Dusty Baker by a single point while
Gardehire, a five-time runner-up in the AL, beat out Texas skipper
Ron Washington fairly easily in voting by the baseball writers.

MIAMI (AP) - There's a Thursday night NFL game with the
banged-up 5-4 Miami Dolphins hosting the 6-3 NFC North co-leading
Chicago Bears. Miami's top two quarterbacks are banged up, so Tyler
Thigpen is expected to make his first NFL start since 2008 with
Kansas City.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Roughly one week after Brett Sutter
(SUH'-tur) was jailed following a bar fight in Arizona, his father
traded him away. Calgary GM Darryl Sutter sent his son Brett and
defenseman Ian White to the Carolina Hurricanes for defenseman
Anton Babchuk and forward Tom Kostopoulos.
