KWBG Sports for January 28th

NASHVILLE (AP) - Jeff Fisher is out after 16 full seasons as
head coach of the Tennessee Titans. The team made the announcement
within an hour of a report by SI.com that the Titans and Fisher
were negotiating his future, and three weeks after owner Bud Adams
announced Fisher would serve out the final year of his contract.
Fisher had been the NFL's longest tenured coach and led the Titans
to their only Super Bowl appearance.

NEW YORK (AP) - Miami Heat teammates LeBron James and Dwyane
(dwayn) Wade will be in the starting lineup for the Eastern
Conference in the NBA All-Star game February 20 in Los Angeles.
Rounding out the East starting five will be Orlando center Dwight
Howard, New York forward Amare Stoudemire (ah-MAR'-ay
STOO'-duh-my-ur) and Chicago guard Derrick Rose. Lakers guard Kobe
Bryant will be joined in the West starting lineup by New Orleans
guard Chris Paul, Oklahoma forward Kevin Durant and Denver forward
Carmelo Anthony, with a yet-to-be named center to replace injured
Houston star Yao Ming.

UNDATED (AP) - The Los Angeles Lakers will have a new coach next
season, according to current coach Phil Jackson. He told ESPN-Los
Angeles that this really is his final season, adding that he wants
to do this for himself. Jackson said last September that he was
uncertain whether he'd retire after the season.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Tiger Woods opened his first tournament of the
year by firing a 3-under 69, leaving him five shots back in the
PGA's Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Woods has captured
the last five tournaments he's played on the San Diego course but
is coming off his first winless season as a professional. Sunghoon
Kang is the first-round leader following an 8-under 64, one shot
better than Rickie Fowler and Alex Prugh.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Andy Murray has been playing No.7
David Ferrer (dah-VEED' feh-REHR'), in the Australian Open's second
men's semifinal. The winner of this match will face Novak Djokovic
(NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich) in the final.
