KWBG Sports for January 5th

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Rich Rodriguez gets together with
athletic director Dave Brandon again Wednesday to see if he'll keep
his job as Michigan football coach. The two met Tuesday to discuss
the coach's future after he went 15-and-22 overall and 7-and-6 this
season.

NEW YORK (AP) - Wilson Chandler's season-high 31 points led a
torrid night of shooting for the Knicks who beat San Antonio
128-115. New York shot 55 percent in scoring the most points
against the league-leading Spurs this season. San Antonio is now
29-and-5.

UNDATED (AP) - Dan Uggla has reached agreement with Atlanta on a
$62 million, five-year contract, a person familiar with the
negotiations tells The Associated Press. The second baseman was
acquired from Florida in November for infielder Omar Infante and
left-hander Mike Dunn.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Ben Hansbrough scored 21 points and
helped hold Kemba Walker to lead No. 14 Notre Dame to a 73-70 win
over eighth-ranked Connecticut. With Hansbrough's help, Walker
scored just 19 points, nearly eight points below his average, on
8-of-23 shooting.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Clayton Stoner will always remember his
game-winning goal in Minnesota's 2-1 victory over New Jersey, not
only because it was his first in the NHL, but for how it happened.
Stoner sent the puck into the Devils zone along the boards and as
New Jersey goalie Johan (YOH'-hahn) Hedberg went behind the net to
play it, it caromed off the boards and into the empty net.
