KWBG Sports for October 19th

NEW YORK (AP) - Thanks to another dominating postseason
performance by Cliff Lee, the Texas Rangers own a 2-1 lead in the
AL championship series over the defending World Series champion New
York Yankees. Lee gave up just two hits and struck out 13 in eight
overpowering innings in the Rangers' 8-0 win over the Yankees with
Game 4 scheduled for this evening in the Bronx.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - After yesterday's travel day, the NLCS
resumes in San Francisco this afternoon with a solid pitching
matchup in Game 3 between the Giants and two-time defending NL
champion Phillies. Matt Cain, a 13-game winner in the regular
season, gets the nod for the Giants against lefty Cole Hamels of
the Phils.

(AP) - Two baseball managerial decisions have been made for
2011. The St. Louis Cardinals are bringing Tony LaRussa back for
his 16th season at the helm of the Cardinals and the Seattle
Mariners picked ex-Cleveland manager Eric Wedge to be their 2011
skipper.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans sit atop the AFC
South in a three-way tie for the lead with Indianapolis and Houston
following their 30-3 rout of Jacksonville last night. Starting QB
Vince Young got knocked out with a sprained knee on the second
series but backup Kerry Collins led the Titans on five straight
scoring drives as Tennessee improve to 4-and-2.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - University of Michigan officials say
they've sold 105,585 tickets for an outdoor hockey game at Michigan
Stadium between the Wolverines and rival Michigan State. "The Big
Chill at the Big House" takes place Dec. 11 and Michigan officials
say they expect to set a world record for attendance at an ice
hockey game that day.
