now has the longest winning streak in NCAA history following a
93-62 pounding of Florida State. Maya (MY'-uh) Moore had a
career-high 41 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the
Huskies, who broke the record of 88 straight wins set by the UCLA
men's teams of the 1970s.

BOSTON (AP) - The Boston Red Sox have finalized a two-year, $12
million contract with reliever Bobby Jenks, a two-time All-Star who
helped the Chicago White Sox win the 2005 World Series. Jenks
converted 19 of 20 save chances in the first half for the White
Sox, but struggled with arm problems and lost his closing job at
the end of the season. His 173 saves rank second in White Sox
history.

NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are the
only major league teams that have to pay a luxury tax for this
year. The Bombers have a tax bill of $18 million, their lowest
since 2003 and $7.7 million less than last year. Boston exceeded
the payroll threshold for the first time since 2007 and owes almost
$1.5 million.

NEW YORK (AP) - Oregon's Chip Kelly is the AP's college football
Coach of the Year. Kelly led the second-ranked Ducks to an
undefeated record and a spot in the BCS national championship game
in just his second season as the team's leader. Kelly received 24
of 55 votes from the AP football poll panel to beat out his title
game counterpart, Auburn's Gene Chizik.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan State will be without
leading receiver B.J. Cunningham for the Capital One Bowl against
Alabama after he broke his foot in practice. The school says
Cunningham hurt himself Saturday and had surgery the next day.
