KWBG Sports for May 10th

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Russell Westbrook poured in a career
playoff high 40 points as he and Kevin Durant combined for 75
points in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 133-123 triple-overtime
thriller over Memphis last night. That evens that Western
Conference semifinal at two games apiece heading to Game 5
Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

MIAMI (AP) - The new-look Miami Heat are one victory away from
reaching the NBA Eastern Conference finals. LeBron James scored 35
points with 14 rebounds to lead Miami to a 98-90 overtime victory
over the Boston Celtics to take a 3-1 series lead and can put away
the series with a victory Wednesday night in Miami.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Vancouver Canucks are in the NHL's
Western Conference finals for the first time since 1994 after
eliminating Nashville in six games with a 2-1 win last night.
Daniel Sedin (suh-DEEN') and Mason Raymond (RAY'-muhnd) scored
first-period goals, and Roberto Luongo made 23 saves in between the
pipes for the Canucks, who await the winner of the Detroit-San Jose
series.

BOSTON (AP) - Pinch-runner Jose Iglesias (ih-GLAYZ'-ee-uhs)
scored from first on close play at the plate on Carl Crawford's
one-out double off the Green Monster in the bottom of the 11th
inning to give the Boston Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Minnesota
Twins. Boston won for the 11th time in 12 games in Fenway Park to
climb within one game of .500.

MIAMI (AP) - There's a gem of a pitching matchup tonight in
South Florida where Josh Johnson of the Florida Marlins opposes
reigning Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay of the Phillies.
Opponents are batting just .160 against Johnson this season while
Halladay is sporting a 5-1 record with a 2.19 ERA in seven starts.
